The Interactive Metronome® (IM) is an advanced training tool for the rehabilitation of planning, organisation, language structuring, cognition and motor skills for children, adolescents and adults.
The patient hears a sound repeatedly and has to press a switch at the exact moment he hears each sound. Through a screen he can see the result of his performance and knows whether he has to go slower or faster. The therapist can incorporate a myriad of exercises using this basic principle to add precision and planning of movements.
MI helps improve attention and concentration, motor and sequential planning, language processing, balance and rhythm.
